The Reliant Scimitar SE5 Estate was manufactured in Tamworth UK during the early '70s. It had an advanced design for it's time and many of today's modern vehicles display remarkably similar styling. The Scimitar had a very strong steel chassis with a rigid fibreglass body bolted to it. The body presented some problems in later years. The SE5's engine was the well proven Ford Granada 3litre delivering 138bhp to the rear wheels through a 4 speed gearbox with overdrive on 3rd and 4th. Altogether a stylish and useful package - very long legged and capable of over 120mph.
